The Office
One of the first tasks after retiring was to redecorate the "home office" and fit it out with new furniture. This was a bit of an indulgence but maybe it will prove to be tax deductible.....
I do expect to spend a fair amount of time in this space - the one place in the home which is mine!

This is a panoramic view, five pictures stitched together to show half the office and most of the working area. Because the pictures were taken at close range, there is some bending distortion in the stitching process. The wall behind the monitor is a right angled corner and the desk has a straight front edge at forty five degrees to the two walls.
This is the plan which was used to design the layout. The only significant error was the light switch which had to be moved from the wall beside the right of the door (as you enter) to the end of the wall unit which obscured it. The desk and cupboard, forming the top end of the office as viewed on the plan, fitted with only a millimetre to spare!

The thumbnails below provide a more detailed view, each will produce a pop-up window with a click.
The furniture was all purchased from The Pine Shop, situated in the Furlong in Ringwood. All the items except the chair came from their Alexander range, stained to give a mahogany effect. The chair was similarly treated to match. All the lights were added by me and are low voltage 20W halogen down-lighters.
